SWIFT Postal attended the European Postal Conference from the 22nd to the 24th March held at Hotel Le Plaza in Brussel. Entitled “Transforming and modernising posts: insights from Europe’s industry leaders” the conference was an ideal opportunity to share the various challenges that Postal operators are currently dealing with.
Increase channels, add new services…
…modernise postal operations
The conference brought forward various insights into the future of the Postal industry. Industry leaders elaborated upon new methods and schools of thought to improve upon current operations. Although concern with the changing postal environment had been expressed, there was also an instilled strong sense of confidence. Advisors proclaimed that postal operators need to modernise their operations with modern technologies, and use such technologies to explore new markets and new channels. Traditional postal services are now complemented with non postal revenue streams, capitalising upon the already existing postal network.
“Postal operators realise that the decline in traditional mail is upon us. SWIFT Postal is therefore at the right time with its current offering. Offering software that can bring new channels and new revenue streams, and that is also competitively priced, is a certain win for postal operators,” says Simon Azzopardi, Marketing manager at SWIFT Postal.
